ARTICLES
The Heraldic Craftsman was the journal of The Society of Heraldic Arts, first published in 1988.
Articles covered the broadest range of heraldic topics, highlighting artists, techniques, disciplines within heraldic studies, and much more.
Unfortunately, publication of The Heraldic Craftsman ceased with the 100th edition in August 2018. This was essentially due to the cost of producing a quarterly full-colour publication and the increasing burden of posting hard copies to members and academic institutions throughout the world.
Below you will find select articles from previous issues of The Heraldic Craftsman, as well as new articles by Craft Members.
If you have any questions about other specifications, please contact us.
Illustrated articles are always welcomed for publication in this section of the Society’s website. These should be sent to info@heraldic-arts.com. Ideally, all submissions should be in Microsoft Word DOC/DOCX/RTF format. Illustrations should be 300dpi in color JPG or PNG format as applicable and clearly labeled if captions or specific placement is required (they may be left in place in a Word DOC file and can be adjusted for the website when and if used).
Thank you.
