KEVIN GREIG, SHA

Kevin is a UK-based artist, emblazoning heraldic achievements in both traditional (gouache on gesso board, as well as pen & ink hand-drawn + watercolour) and digital vector formats.

He also designs and plans bespoke heraldic silver, working together with 3D artists, jewelers, casters, as well as artisans in apparel and walking stick manufacture, resulting in heraldic pendants, croziers, kilt jacket buttons, brooches, bonnet badges, and cantles. This even extends to producing embossers – a two-level matrix is created of your arms, crest, or badge, which is incised into a two-part offsetting bronze matrix. These bronze disks become a removable component of your own embosser, and alternative bronze plates can be commissioned. Embossed armorial bearings can be used to turn your stationery paper into a letterhead, mark your envelopes, or to emboss your own pack of adhesive serrated legal seals.

Kevin’s talents also extend to the design and realisation of heraldic marching banners, as well as 14cm square, fringed, and braided double-sided table banner on a range of poles and bases, printed and constructed by hand, allowing the commission to be tailored in limitless ways.

Further, Kevin produces heraldic bookplates and creative illustrations, all in the mediums of his forté – paint, pen, and digital – depending on the will of the client. Non-heraldic bookplates are also an op-tion. Commissions include a starting stock of 30 hand made plates in archival stock, which can be augmented with a larger illustration for wall mounting.
