PIET BULTSMA VOS, SHA
Dutch heraldist Piet Bultsma has been painting, drawing, and designing under the name Heraldic At-elier Bultsma since the early nineties.
Since the 1970s Piet has been involved in heraldry and he has continued to develop into the broadly developed heraldist he is today – first as a hobby, in addition to a regular job, and later as a profes-sional. The step to focus entirely on heraldry turned out to be the right one. Not only did he have the time to develop himself even further, but it also soon resulted in great commissions from private in-dividuals and government, such as the Order of Malta, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Chan-cellery of the Dutch Orders.
In the 1990s, Piet was appointed as an heraldic artist of the High Council of Nobility. Many municipali-ties and water boards have armorial diplomas from his hand. He also painted the coats of arms on the last parchment noble diplomas for the High Council of Nobility.
